I am a graduate of Glasgow School of Art where I studied Drawing & Painting and Silversmithing & Jewellery. Having been a Lecturer in Fine Art for many years I have now returned to my roots in Argyll to focus on the development of my own work. I enjoy using a broad range of media and create my work adopting a playful, experimental approach. This includes drawing, painting, printmaking, assemblage, mosaic work and designer jewellery.
Our relationship with nature is a constant source of inspiration to me and the physical experience and satisfaction of working outdoors is the starting point in all of my work. My work is a response to the landscape, and plein air studies, drawings and paintings are further developed in the studio blending experience, knowledge and memory of place.
